Different contacts display when addressing emails

Hi
Strange problem driving me crazy. We upgraded outlook2003 to outlook 2007
we use exchange 2003.
I can see the correct contacts under the contacts folder I then make it
visible to outlook address book and even give it a unique name. When I open
that contacts folder in the open email box (to: _) I get the same Wrong
list for any contacts folder I try. There is one contacts folder that I
tried to remove, but it is stuck with the make visible to addressbook
checked and greyed out. I have tried removing the profile and
recreating? no luck. Is there a way I could extract the correct contacts
and completely uninstall and reinstall office 2007, then load the contacts?
any insight, suggestions or areas to research much appreciated

Explain this statement:
"under the contacts folder I then make it visible to outlook address book
and even give it a unique name."
We have no idea what you did. We do know you failed to configure your
Outlook Address Book Service correctly.
 
Shift+Ctrl+B to open the address book. Go to its tools, option menu. Can you
remove the extra address books from this dialog?
