differences in the default PPT templates for 97 and XP.

Need to know the differences between default Office97 and
OfficeXP Powerpoint .PPT templates installed. Is the list
of templates the same? Have any of the same named
templates changed in content? What do new templates bring
to the user?

Each version of PPT has introduced additional templates. For the most
part, the ones which have made the transition from 97 through XP are the
same, with one exception: If the templates were animated in earlier
versions, they are now static.

Can't remember if the animation was removed from the templates in 2000
or in 2002 (aka XP), but it has indeed been removed. That's actually a
good thing, as far as I'm concerned, because getting that animation to
*not* occur was a frequent question. Stumps a lot of users.

Yes, some of the existing templates were removed as well as versions
progressed.

What do new templates bring to the user? Well, fresher designs would be
my thought on that.
 
FYI: Animations were removed prior to 2002. The sounds were taken out
between 2000 and 97, I think.
