differences in amd chip?

Hi all..comparing two amd athlon 64 4000+ chips. One sledgehammer, the
other San Diego. What is the main difference between the two. The San
Diego uses a 90 nm process. is this beneficial?

I just want to purchase the better of the two.

90nm chips are the newer ones, use less power then 130nm so they produce
less heat/easier to keep cool. 90nm also have addition tweaks for better
memory support. Also notice the new 90nm chips also support SSE3.

And OC like crazy. I barely got my 3700+ clawhammer to 2.5Ghz (100Mhz
increase). I'm working on getting my San Diego stable at 2.85Ghz right
now (650Mhz OC).
