Differences between versions

Hi,

I would like to know if there are any differences between the actual
Microsoft Access 2000 product that comes with Office 2000 Developer and
Office 2000 Professional.

My database support group has indicated that can not perform some tasks in
Access (creating forms, queries on active databases) as we only have the
professional version of Office. I however think that the actual Access
product is the same in both versions of Office, just the Developer edition
comes bundles with MSDN subscriptions and SDK's. I may be completely wrong
(won't be the first time (or last)).

Thanks for any help / links.

Andy.

AFAIK, there is no difference in the version of msaccess.exe that comes in
the two different versions of Office.

The Developer edition comes with a number of OCXs that aren't in
Professional, as well as allowing you to package your applications with the
royalty-free run-time version of Access, but Access itself is the same.
Certainly, there are no restrictions about not being able to create forms or
queries in either.

Unfortunately, I can't find any web reference that you can use to prove this
to them.
