Hello,

Could someone tell me what the difference is between Windows Mail and
Windows Live Mail? Can the two be used together, or is it one or the other?
How easy is it to change between the two?

Windows Mail comes with Vista. It hasn't been updated. It can only access
POP and IMAP email accounts, not Hotmail. IF you access several email
accounts, all messages come into one Inbox.

Windows Live Mail is newer, and has gone thru a few updates. It can access
POP, IMAP and Hotmail accounts. It has separate Inbox, etc. for each email
account.

You can use them both at the same time... I do. When you install WLM, it
will copy your contacts and email messages from WM, but the originals remain
where they were. WLM will remove the shortcuts to WM, but the program
remains where it is.
There is no synching between WM and WLM.

Both WM and WLM can access newsgroups.
