Difference between "pro" and "home" video capture systems

In my quest to find a video capture card that uses PCI-Express, I have
found some..ok, a few. None of them are below $800 used and come with
all kinds of interesting software. The better ones make full use of the

P4 HT system. How much "better" are these systems that something from
Pinnacle that costs $200?

Where are you finding _used_ PCI Express video capture hardware? Perhaps
you mean PCI-X?

If you can give an example of what you're looking at someone may be able to
tell you what it's for--if it's really PCI Express then it's not simply
analog video capture.
