What is the difference between LPR and RAW printer ports? And the
benifits of using each? Thanks.

It's not a DNS question but what the heck....

LPR is for those printer devices (or print servers) that use the
offer the LP (daemon) print services to LP remote clients.

RAW is (usually) about sending the data without further processing.

I have never seem these as (direct) alternatives but rather sending
RAW is an option which could theoretically be used to send to any
port where the print job was already completely prepared and you
wished no further processing.

What is the LP Daemon? Thanks for the answer.

"Daemon" is a Unix term for 'service'.
