Jan,

There's a lot of information there! Basically, all the stuff in there (well,
80% of it) I already know. I'm not a n00b to this stuff at all, but the file
named above I simply cannot get rid of. I've tried everything in those links
except deleting Web Tangent, using CW Chredder (which found nothing) and
scanning with HijackThis (and I have posted the log on the site you linked,
mainly the Amuha one.

I basically need help for this exact problem, not just a general guide to
malware, adware, spyware etc. But I do appreciate you taking the time to help
me.

Another problem I've also encountered, is that I have a folder (where an REM
album is stored) and it's called "In Time- The Best Of R.E.M. 1988-2003".
When I click properties it says there is 0 files and 0kb... well, the songs
ARE in there. I have moved them to another folder but cannot delete the
original one with nothing in it. I don't know what's wrong with it, but I
can't delete it or do anything to it. Any ideas for this one too?

Thanks,

Simon

If you are knowledgeable in regards to scumware, then you are aware that by
the mere names of those files you memtioned in your original post, you have
more than just one problem, and more than just one type of scumware. Thus,
it is not going to be any 1 fix for your problems. It is good that you have
posted your log to the AumHa forums, and I hope that you followed all the
preliminary instructions after registering prior to posting your log so that
your post will not be ignored or deleted. The folks there are very good at
helping get rid of these types of sucmware, and they are very busy so please
be patient.

You indicate that you have already run all the programs that were in the
several lists of information that I provided before, was there anything
found by any of them? If so, what type of files were they? i.e, spywere,
adware, etc.?
Another problem I've also encountered, is that I have a folder (where an

Not really, although, with the nature of the warez on your system right not,
one or more of them could be causing a problem, and I would not try to do
anything with that folder until you are sure your system is clean. Some
warez will prevent any folders or files from being deleted, and if that
folder is proving to be a problem, they may well be affecting your files
there.

Id advise you to tackle that problem after you have resolved the other more
serious problem at the moment.

Hope this helps.
