If you already installed windows xp service pack 3, what do you think?
Is your computer better now? Running faster or you didn't see any change?

Faster in all cases so far. And for me that is a few hundred.
When I say 'faster' - that is an "it just 'feels' faster" thing - I have no
tests to back that up.

Few if any upgrades or fixes attempt to make our PCs run
faster. Most address "security holes" etc. (OS manufacturers
get no benefit if our PCs run faster, but may lose money if
security flaws expose users to data loss, theft, etc.)

I agree with Don although sp2 certainly did the opposite!

Had sp3 a while now and no difference at all, MS could have made the gui
change a bit vista'y without the slowness though :)

Mine is running slower, much slower, but when I posted to another group, the
consensus was not toward SP3, but toward issues between it and my antivirus
program. Will update you as I have sucess, or lack thereof on getting it back
to where it was.
