Did not use alternate DC to authenticate

Hello,

We had a DC freeze up today and users were still trying to authenticate
through it instead of going to an alternate DC. Any idea why this would be?
The netlogon service was still running on the frozen DC.
 
Wow, that's really funny. The same thing happened to us today as well......
 
As long as the server responds to netlogon requests, clients (users and
computers will continue to use it.)
The server was not frozen from a client authentication point of view.
