the monitor doesnt really sound like there is any disk activity either,I
have cheked the monitor, video card, and power supply they are all
good, the only thing i havent been able to chek are the cpu and the mobo
none of my other pcs are compatible.Msi has a d-bracket usb deal that
has diagnostic lites all the lites go red when i turn it on but i cant
say i ever noticed what color they were before when the computer
worked.I also have no idea what four red lites mean being unable to find
the manual for my mobo. Can someone please help me out and let me know if
i need a new mobo,cpu,or both?

all 4 greens is good. all 4 reds is bad. Actually if any of the lites
are red, that's bad.

Ane thing to ctheck is the processor fan, see if it spins. If it
deosn't, yank it, and plug it into a supplimetal fan port on one of
your other machines. If it won't spin that'- as easfy replacement. If
it does, you're back to a dead motherboard, or dead CPU.

Joey,
Search for the motherbaord manual for your computer. search msi-6702 on
msi website. go through it for any solutions.

Remove the plug (power cord) on the system. Pull (remove) and reseat
(install) all of your PCI cards, your video card(s) and all of the memory
modules. Disconnect all USB external devices. Plug the system in and see if
that works. If not, unplug the system and pull and reseat your processor.
Check all cables, make sure they are all seated fully. Test that.
