My home PC runs WindowsXP Pro SP2 and is connected to anEtherNet connection
to a LinkSys Wireless Router which is connected to an ActionTec DSL Modem.
Port 3389 is forwarded from the modem to the router IP address. Port 3389
is forwarded from the router to my PC static IP address [192.168.1.100].
I can connect to my home PC from work and complete the login screen.
However, as the home PC desktop completes it's normal start-up routines
(usually a MSN IM login which I usually abort, and the anti-virus startup)
the screen will freeze and eventually disconnect.
The firewalls on both the modem and router are disabled. Any clues as t way
the connection keeps breaking after a minute or so?
