Diasble Sharing

I have accidently enabled sharing and want to be sure I
have completely disabled it. It used to say "Windows has
diabled sharing" when I looked at Properties on a folder
but now I feel folders might be accessbile by other
people. Why doesn't Microsoft tell you how to completely
diable sharing? Please reply if you can tell me how I can
completely disable sharing of my folders - thanks!
