On some of my slides I play a sound file (MP3). I would like the whole sound
file to play through, before going to the next slide. Today I so it by
disabling the avancing by mouse click om those slides, and set the automatic
advance timer to the duration of the sound file. And that works reasonably
OK.

But sometimes its not enough time to watch the slide. So I would like to
allow advancing by mouse click, but nott until the sound is over. After its
over, the user can adance whenever he likes.

If you set the slide to transition automatically after 1 second and put a tiny
box on the slide, set it to "Appear" after previous (i.e., the sound file) and
then give it no fill and no line so that it is invisible, the slide should
transition automatically 1 second after the music completes because it has to
wait for the invisible box to appear.

Hi Sonia

I get that, but is there a way to let the user determine when then slide
should transition - after the music is complete, but not before.

Jan

Not exactly. You can set the slide to transition on mouse click, but you can't
specify that the mouse click is only permissable after the music completes. You
can, however, make that little box a non-transparent rectangle, label it Next
Slide, and link it to "Next Slide". Set the slide transition to *not*
automatic and *not* on mouse click. That way, the ONLY way to advance the slide
will be to wait until music ends and the button appears and then they can click
on it when they want.
