"dialog box open"

When I attempt to double click on a Word file to open it from a directory on
the computer I get a message "dialog box is open click here to close". If I
first open Word and then search for the Word document file and open that the
same file I do not get the message. I do not get this message performing the
same process on my other computer, which also used Word 2003. This is
annoying. How do I stop the problem.

Thanks for the help. This works, but considering the risk I think I will put
up with the inconvienance of the popup.
