dialling 'a contact' from Outlook

Yesterday something happened when I tried to phone a
person in my Contact file. Prior to that I used the
function regularly. The message I now receive is " An
internal error occurred in the automatic phone dialer.
Close the Dialer Phone dialog box and then open it again."

I tried everything ... help

Try checking the following Tom.

1. Click the phone icon from a contact with a phone number to bring up the
New Call
window,

2. Select "Dialing Options"

3. Under "Connect using Line" click to drop the drop down menu

4. You may need to use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select the Modem
from the
list
