Even with my phone line disconnected and every setting i
can think of turned of ( never dial my connection etc) my
computer still dials my .Com at log in and will redial 5
times and leave the dialing window smack in the middle of
my desk top. This is so so annoying and I am a loss how
to stop wonderful XP from doing this.
Can anybody help please, please
Thanks G

I'm assuming you mean that something is trying to dial out to your ISP. Go
to Start, run, and type MSCONFIG. Go to the 'Startup' tab and see what's
loading. If you're unsure, turn things off one at a time to determine
just *what* is triggering the logout. You may have some sort of spyware or
dialer trying to run up your phone bill; if this is the case Spybot or
Ad-Aware work very well and are free.
