Dial up stuck my new P4 ruuning XP

Hi,

I connect to the internet via an USB ADSL modem (ALE-130)
and GlobespanVirata Dial-Up PPP Connection.
I always see the connection stuck after some variable
connection time. Trying to close the dial up causes the XP
to get stuck and a reset have to be performed.
Already looked for :
1. Viruses
2. Re install the dial up software

Does not help!!!

why do you need a adsl modem and a dial up line?

first ask youre isp is that posibule to do or phone comp
2 try to download new drivers
3 try them at diffrent times adsl then dial up
4 do the windows internet wizard
5 i dont think windows xp dial-up can support 2 dial up
systems. try a 3rd party dialer for youre modem

Make sure the modem drivers and any software from the isp are XP compatible.
If you know what you are doing install the drivers for the modem and set the
internet connection up manualy.
