I use Windows 2000 Professional on both a desktop and laptop computer. I
have ADSL internet on my desktop computer. I can connect my laptop to
the desktop with a NIC and enable internet connection sharing. This
allows me to mount drives as well as browse the internet using the same
connection. This is perfect when I'm at home.
I also have a normal modems on the desktop and laptop. I have it
configured so that when I am away from home I can dial in to my home
computer. This works and I can connect and mount drives, but I can not
access the internet.
I played with internet connection sharing but I think this only works on
a LAN, not over a dial-up connection. I found some references to dial-up
server but that is for Windows 95-98 and I'm not sure it would do what I
want anyway.
So my question is, how can I enable the sharing of my ADSL connection
over a dial-up connection?
