Dial up properties wont display??

If I go under start menu then control panel then network
connections and then right click on my dial up service
which is displayed there and then click on
properties.....nothing happens. I was trying to
enable/disable the built-in windows xp firewall but I
cant get into properties to change it. Help
 
How did you create the connection?

If you are trying to do this on an AOL connection, this
will not work. AOL did not make their software
compatible with the Network Connections folder.
 
It's an AT&T Global Network Client icon. This is my dial
up internet service. If I cant display its properties
then how do I turn on and off the windows xp built in
firewall?
