I have a user who has complained that when he is using
his stand-alone PC with modem that the DUN will try to
connect intermittently without him launching it himself

Hi Tim,

Commonly, the issue may be caused by the applications. Such as the anti
virus application. They will try to access the Internet for the anti virus
database update.

We can set the Internet Connection to manually dial up. Then, the
connection will not be connected automatically.

Thanks for using Microsoft News Group!

Sincerely,
