I would like to know if it is possible to dial up to a
remote Pc and share files?

-I have already attempted to create an "Incoming
Connection" on one PC and then a "Dial Up Connection" on
the other PC, they connect and the host is showing that
the guest has connected but that's as far as it goes...

-I tried pinging each ip address and I get no reply. The
host has successfully set up the ip addresses for both
computers and I have made sure that they are on the same
Workgroup...

-Does anybody know if this can be done???
if so how????
PS: both pc's are running windows xp pro and neither have
lan cards, both have modems(obviously)

i don't know much but i know there are some ftp server
software out there u can host a FTP server...
I used bulletproof server, and it's great, i'm a newbie
to this FTP stuff but got my ftp server up and running.
I setup up which folders in my Hard Drives to share and
make usernames and passwords and give them out only to my
friends so they can browse my files, on some folders they
can even upload some of their files to me. there are
also some p2p programs out there that's even better. not
kazaa or stuff like that but private p2p they only u and
the person u want to share be able to see each other and
it's even possible to share file with MSN messenger 6.0
I hoped i help u a little....have fun
