My main internet connection is via LAN to a router. Recently I've been trying
to test out my new cell phone's capabilities by using it as a bluetooth modem
to set up a dial-up connection. When I do so, the dial-up connection seems to
take priority over the LAN connection. Whenever I start up IE, it prompts me
to start the dialup connection or go offline, even though my LAN connection
is still active. I can't find any way to stay online with IE short of
deleting all of my dial-up connection setups. That works for IE, but even
then my GMail notifier and an online game I play refuse to try to connect to
their respective servers.
How can I get my machine to just use the LAN connection and ignore the
others if they're not connected?
