dial-up icon

How do I get a dial-up icon to show up in the taskbar
while connected to the internet? Nothing shows the
status while connected.
 
Check under properties for the Dial-up connection, see if
the box at the bottom that says "Show icon in
notification area when connected" has a check mark by it.
