Dial Up and IE 6

Access Internet options from control panel, click Connections tab, select
"Never dial a connection", click OK.

I've got a Win98 machine that the IE 6 has just been installed on.
Ever since they installed IE 6, the dialup connection pops up when
when windows starts up. Then it takes 2 or 3 attempts to get it
closed. There isn't anything that Im aware of that is trying to dial
to the internet...antivirus or anything like that. So I'm kinda at a
loss as to why after installing IE 6, it's now wanting to connect on
windows startup. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Do not use 'never dial a connection' to avoid your problem. That simply
hides the problem, without curing it. Check out the advice at the URL below:
