I have a Windows 2000 member server on a AD network. I have installed a
Perle PCI-RAS 8 Modem card. The way I envision it is my have users would
call in and be authenticated on the domain by my AD server and then would
have access to my T1 for Internet and other resources on the LAN. I have set
up RRAS taking mostly the default settings. The problem is that when I call
in the modem answers and the dialog on the client dialing in will read
"Verifying Password" and then I get either an error 721 or 619.

Any help would be much appreciated.

P.S. - Just in case anyone has experience with the Perle card, I have
updated the firmware as per the manufacturer's instructions

Is your RAS server added to the domain? It looks like it's unable to
authenticate for some reason, which can be due to the above reason as well.

I have the same problem as you with the same card

I have a windows 2000 server whith a perle pci-ras 8 modem. I am trying to connect and it stop to verifiyns username and password.
When I use on the same machine a regular external modem, i can connect to the ras server without anyproblem. But through this cardn it does not work ...

I called the Perle support, they told me to upgrade the firmware of each modem of teh PCI-RAS card. After upgrading teh firmware and then changing the modems driver (they are different after the upgrade), the RAS server was working correctly withteh PCI-RAS card !
