Hi all,
I have set up a win 2k server sp4 RAS server. My win2k laptop connects to
it via dial up & I get given a DHCP address on my laptop & it authenticates
no problem. The only problem is with viewing the server resources. I cannot
see any shared folders on the server. How can I get this working?

Can you ping the remote resource by IP? if yes, can you ping by name? Do you have WINS server? these links may help,

I have nutted it out. But I couldnt ping the server, but once I gave the RAS
server a static address pool it worked???? I could ping & browse & all is
well. Thanks for your reply Robert

I read a half dozen "how to & configuration pages" on RAS but no joy. The
fix ended up being a static address pool!!! Go figure ;)
