Most hard drive manufacturers have their own and these are perfectly
adequate. Seagate have called Sea Tools for Windows.; Western Digital also
have their own. The problem I, if the drive is at fault and you take it back
(assuming it is under warranty) the store will use the manufacturers
diagnostics to check for faults rather than a third party application.
