Diagnostics tools for hard drive

Most hard drive manufacturers have their own and these are perfectly
adequate. Seagate have called Sea Tools for Windows.; Western Digital also
have their own. The problem I, if the drive is at fault and you take it back
(assuming it is under warranty) the store will use the manufacturers
diagnostics to check for faults rather than a third party application.

Hi All,

Anybody's knows any 3rd party diagnostics tools for hard drive?

Thanks,

Joe
SpinRite is the best one out there, but it is NOT free. Each
