Every time I start my computer it opens with a black screen with white
writing that has all kinds of information on it. I have no idea what it is
or how to turn it off, which is what I want to do. As a matter of fact, I'm
not even positive that it's a Windows program. It doesn't mean anything to
me, it's just another thing to have to close in order to get going and my
computer is slow enough as it is, without adding additional tasks to it. Can
anyone tell me how to stop this window from displaying every time I start up?

I have just cured that one on my machine. I have at some time downloaded Roxio
10. AS I have a Canon Video that runs VR files I also have MyDVD which is based
on Roxio. Some part of a Video on the Mini DVD could not be read in my CD/DVD
reader so I installed the MyDVD again - mistake - that caused the appearance of
the diagnostic Tracer - probably my training in TV and electronics got me to
think - I have done this - why and how and came to the conclusion over night
that it was the Roxio which was doubled up. Uninstalled the MYDVD and that was
the end of the diagnostic tracer - NOW THINK - WHAT HAVE YOU INSTALLED LATELY
Good luck
