Diagnosing Device Conflicts

Can I assume that it is, in fact, a conflict if the Conflicts/Sharing
option says that I have two devices on IRQ 16 - a GL Graphics Controller
and a USB Universal Host Controller, and not some sort of sharing?

conflicts and sharing
are opposites of each
other.

the conflicts are the
ones to worry about

go to start>run>devmgmt.msc

the device that is dysfunctional
will be highlighted if it requires
correction. you can either roll
back the driver, disable the device
or reconfigure the resource via
the device properties tab (if that
particular device driver includes
one) or download an updated
driver from the maker.

but if none of the above work
to resolve the conflict, then it
would simply be better to disable
or remove the device all together.

the device driver may simply be
incompatible to the version of
windows (sp1 or sp2) you are
running or the computer itself.

Thank you very much. My computer is working much better than it was
previously. I owe you a solid. :)
