HI. People...Someone know how can I disable DHCP
configuration to prevent that someone can get a valid IP
in the Network.
Today if anyone connect some notebook or workstation on
my network its can get a IP of my network.

best regards

Leandro

You are correct that w/ DHCP if anyone connects a machine to your network with DHCP client enabled they will receive an IP address. If your are wanting to specify who cannot receive IP address configurations you would either have to (1) use reservations for all IP addresses in the scope to specific MAC's (2) use static IP assignment (3) place those clients that you do not want to use DHCP on a segment that does not have a DHCP server on it and then make sure that your router does not forward DHCP requests (theses routers are commonly referenced as non RFC 1542 compliant).

Hi Leandro,
About the only way you could do that would be to remove DHCP entirely and
statically assign all of your clients, or you could create reservations for
each client and exclude all other addresses in the scope.

If you're concerned with people connecting unauthorized devices to your LAN
then you could always use a switch that supports 802.1x authentication. The
concept works the same on a wired LAN as it does in a wireless environment.
With that, the users wouldn't be able to connect to the network at all until
they authenticate.
