Hi all,

I want to set up DHCP on my server instead of using my firewall device to do
it. I have 2 servers to pick from (ok, I have more than that). One is
running Windows 2000 Server and has 5 client licenses. The other is running
Windows 2000 Small Business Server with 25 client licenses. Does it matter
which server I use?

I didn't know if I had to have enough client licenses for DHCP or if it
would work on the one with 5 licenses even though 32 devices may be getting
their address thru it.

TIA

Greg

Please. let your SBS-server do all the DHCP, DNS and WINS (if you have W9x,
ME or NT4-clients). Turn of the other DHCP-server, as SBS will shut down its
own DHCP if it sees another DHCP-server.
Have a look at www.smallbizserver.net to check your setup.
Do you use 2 nics in the server?
