Hi,
Essentially this means that the machine tried to contact a DHCP server to
get an address for the machine but could get one. If you have a DHCP
server and other machines on the network are getting IP addresses from it,
check the network connection on the problem machine to make sure it is
connected properly. You might even try connecting the problem machine to a
network port that is working for another machine in this case.
If you are not running a DHCP server on your network you will need to
assign a static IP address (in Control Panel / Network and Internet
Connections / Network Connections). This address will need to match the IP
scheme used on the network you are connecting to so that it can communicate
with the other machines on the network.
