DHCP Server is still allowing duplicate IP's.

Hello,

I have a DHCP server, and have it set to try the max of 5 tries to see if an
IP already exists on my lan before assigning an IP. Yet, daily I am getting
an average of 5 duplicates. My subnet is 255.0.0.0. ( don't ask me why ),
but I have about 300 clients on the lan.

Any tips?

Is that an 8 bit subnet mask you are applying?
