Hello,

Does anyone know why in my Computer Management there is a
blue exclamation point on my DHCP Server. I noticed also
that all my address leases are full. I delete them and
restart and there full again.

Am I being attacked by a virus?

Thanks in advance,
Rodney

How is the scope configured? Any exclusions configured? Anything in the
eventlogs?

Marina

Hi,

I don't have any exclusions setup. Should I? And my System
log has this in it:

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: DhcpServer
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1020
Date: 12/14/2003
Time: 10:04:53 AM
User: N/A
Computer: LONDON
Description:
Scope, 192.168.0.0, is 100 percent full with only 0 IP
addresses remaining.

If you are using static IP's (which is recommended for servers and
printers), you would need exclusions.
Can you post the config of your DHCP-server?

Marina

How do i get you the config info.

Here's a recap thus far:
On my router the only setting I changed was Disabled DHCP
(Only because it would let me install win2k server).

I created a new scope 192.168.0.10 - 30.

On Routing an Remote Access I configured thru wizard. And
it told me to set up DHCP Relay Agent (so I pointed it to
my static server ip address 192.168.0.200)

Does this sound ok so far? I mean do I need to configure
my router?

Thanks in advance,
Rodney

Hi Rodney,

Your scope is only 20 IP's. How many clients do you have? Can you post the
ipconfig/all from the server?
