DHCP or not DHCP?

I have W2K Server dialing out to my ISP with setting "Obtain IP
automatically".
Each time I re-connect I do get a random IP address so can safely assume it
is using DHCP and it is working.

However, 'IPCONFIG /all' tells me DHCP=NO
Is this a bug and is there a fix?

Please re-direct me if there is a more relevant group I should be asking in.

Dialup should be using PPP to obtain its IP Addresses, DHCP is usually
associated with Dynamic IP Addresses on Ethernet based connections!

Ah, I thought I understood DHCP but I know diddly about PPP.
