My DHCP Client will not start running. I went to my computer then manage then sevices then DHCP Client start. I get an error 1068. MS support says to do a reg edit, I did that and the last line of the H-Key I change keeps changing back to the way it was. Both my LAN and Wireless LAN both will not work. It show that I have connectivity to the network but it will not comuncate. It shows my IP as 0.0.0.0.0. What can I do to fix this problem? Do I need to do a freash install of XP Home? Is there a patch or Fix?

Do I need to do a freash install of XP Home? Is there a patch or Fix?If you look in the Event log for this error, can you copy all the text and
post it back here?

I did a google on your problem and found something similar about
uninstalling norton antivirus
http://www.bl.com/moshe/text/quiddities/norton_errors.html
Did YOU uninstall something before you got the problems?

Have you tried uninstalling, then reinstalling, ALL the elements eg client
for microsoft networks from your network connection?

I had the exact same problem. I did a repair reinstall of XP from the cd and it
fixed it.
