Hi,
Has anyone seen the dhcp client in Windows 2000 hang up
when using a wifi card? My scenario is that 1 time in 10
when my laptop comes back
from suspend mode the dhcp client doesn't manage to
renew the lease (why it does this I don't know, but
it renews the lease everytime you return from suspend
mode) so if you 'ipconfig' your ip is 0.0.0.0 and all
tcp/ip networking is thus dead. You cannot stop the
dhcp client and must reboot.
I think this is a race error between the wifi card powering
back up and the dhcp client trying to renew, as most of
the time, it works fine.
TIA,
