Frequently, my Win2000 SP4 laptop loses communication
after waking up from standby, but not always. I can't
seem to detect a pattern.
I'm running 64-bit WEP (NetGear MA521 PC Card to a
Speedstream 2624 router). A Win98 laptap (also using 64-
bit WEP) and two directly connected PCs work fine. When
this happens, ipconfig will not release or renew.
Sometimes it will "know" an ip address, sometimes not.
Additionally, the DHCP Client service will not Stop; fails
to respond. Failure does not occure with WEP disabled.
Error also occurs with 128-bit WEP.
Any suggestions anyone?
