Hi

im having trouble with my internet connection. I have a
set up of 3 computers on a network going into a belkin 4
port router and then into a cable modem. 2 of the
computers are wireless and the other is fixed cable.

My proble begins with computer (B) its a laptop running
windows XP pro. currently all computers on the network
bar this one have the ip range or 192.168.2.x and show
the status of this as set via dhcp. laptop (B) has a
totally different ip address and will not access the
internet or the network becasue of the ip non match to
the ip pool. the router, cable modem and wireless AP have
all been reset and still no luck, the dhcp service has
been restarted and ive even tried to manually set the ip
but that doesnt work becasue my isp requires the ip's to
be set via dhcp. does anyone know how to get the ip of
laptop (B) to be set via dhcp.

all the settings match exactly and the laptop in question
has worked fine since we've had it. this has only started
to happen since i have installed a netgear MA521 wireless
accese pcmcia card into it. the other laptop (laptop a)
has built in wireless capability.

If anyone can help me id be very greatful and if you need
to contact me use the email address -(withoutthis)

Greetings Tom Pearson

Click Start, Run, and type "cmd" and then press ENTER to open the command prompt. At the command prompt, type "ipconfig/release" then "ipconfig/renew" and see if that fixes the problem
