Hi

in a domain DFS, what shoud be taken in a backup to make sure that a root server or a DC can be complety restored after a complete failure of the machine
If the Active Directory is already backed-up in a regular procedure, as the content of the hard disks, is there any other precautions to take ? What about the synchronisation with the DCs and the actual topology when the failed machine is restored with the tape back-up

Thanks
Andre
sthe topology is stored in the Active Directory, the root servers

Try dfscmd /view \\dfsname\dfsshare /batch >> path\file name.bat

MS KB 269372
