Im having a very strange problem with DFS specifically to do with My Documents. I have configured DFS to replicate all the home directories for the domain users. Home directories being mapped to p: drive through their AD profile. All is well, replication occurs as wanted, P: is mapped and all is well... Except when users goto their MyDocuments through the MyDocuments shortcut and try to change a name of a file or create a new file/folder the changes/additions do not show unless they press F5. P: being the exact same location does not have this problem, and names changes are displayed as normal (right away).

Searching has not provided any solutions or even reasons.

Thoughts ???

You might have a timing problem with DFS refferals.

If your workstations are running XP, then try applying this policy on computer accounts:
Administrative Templates\System\Logon\Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon: enabled
