Dfs Root Error

I'm trying to create a Dfs Root in a Share directory, but
I'm recieving the following error when I'm selecting the
path to share and the share name over the Dfs root
creation wizard :

"The folder path \\server\shared_directory is invalid.
Valid folder paths should take the
form "x:\path\path\path""

What this means ?? The directory is correctly shared and
everything seems to be just fine. What am I doing wrong ?

Thanks,

FC

If I'm understanding you correctly, the answer is you don't share a share.

A DFS target points to a (plain old regular) share, which in turn is of
course a physical location. So if you're creating the share itself the
"path to share" would need to be a physical location, as the error message
told you.
