System:
Windows 2003
Domain Based DFS Root
SAN Fibre Connections
I use mount points for connection to my SAN.
example
D:\Departmental Shares\LUN08\TESTDFSREPLICATION (where LUN08 is a
mount point to a 100Gig LUN on the SAN)
DFS LINK points to TEST Share on REMOTE SERVER (D:\
I want to setup replication from a remote site server with a local
disk to my central site file server with the mount point. When doing
to replacation does not work. I get the following error.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: NtFrs
Event Category: None
Event ID: 13539
Date: 10/4/2004
Time: 3:31:30 PM
User: N/A
Computer: WCFILE10
Description:
The File Replication Service cannot replicate d:\departmental
shares\lun08\testdfsreplication because the pathname of the replicated
directory is not the fully qualified pathname of an existing,
accessible local directory.
For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
Now if I move the share to a spot on the local disk, replication works
fine. Is there a way around this? Is this a bug?
PS, Durring my test phase, I setup file and share permisions to be
EVERYONE - FUll Access.
