DFS replication for Shares but not SQL?

I need to replicate three shares on an existing server to migrate them
to a new server and I'm considering using DFS for the purpose in our
Win2K Active Directory environment. But to replicate three shares
I've got to replicate the entire volume, not just those three shares.
Although there is an active SQL database on the volume. I don't need
the SQL data on the other server and will never use it, but how will
DFS handle the SQL portion?

If it rejects the open databases, that would be great, if it attempts
to duplicate and leaves trash on the other server, that's fine. I
just can't have it trashing the SQL server. Could it?

Hello,
I'd suggest posting this question to one of the SQL Server groups, such as
"microsoft.public.sqlserver.server."
