Hi,

I'm not sure where the best place to post this question is, but....

I am wondering if there is a way to create a DFS link that only certain
users will see and/or have access to. Servers and clients are W2K.

Thanks,
Dan

Any time you create a DFS link to a share, the access is controlled by the
share. So if your users do not have access to the share through normal means
(\\server\share) then they will not have access to it via the DFS share.

Group to use: microsoft.public.windows.server.dfs_frs

You can't hide the Dfs link. Even if the share which Dfs links to is hidden,
the link is still visible in Dfs.

However, the link points at a share - and you can use normal share-level and
NTFS permissions to restrict access.
