Hi,
I want to configure DFS replication in different forets.
The scenario is like this:
I have configured three different forests using Windows 2000 SP4.
These are TRSM,EN and VB.
There is trusts between EN - TRSM and VB - TRSM.
I have a domain based DFS root configured in a box joined to the TRSM
domain.
There are DFS links configured in this root which point to dir in
boxes joined to the TRSM domain as well.
I want to replicate the contents of these DFS links in TRSM
domain(forests) boxes to dir in EN and VB.
When I configure the replication policy there is an error message
which prompts - "Unable to create nTFRS object in the Active directory
for the hosts inmumsv22.vb.The media is write protected"
What is the problem in this?
Is it that since the LDAP schema of the forests is different hence the
DFS/FRS is not able to replicate across different forests.
Is there any work around to this?
regards,
Abhishek Sharma.
