Chris Hobby

Hello,

I am looking for any information or suggestions to the following:

I have a multi-site domain each connected via VPN over a xDSL connection
(ADSL and SDSL). I would like to be able to replicate certain files between
all of my domain controllers (each site has a DC). The files will be part of
custom in-house apps written in .NET and VFP. The default SYSVOL folder
(which is installed on the C:\ drive on all DC's) will not be an appropriate
solution.

What I would like to do is have a location to place these files, in addition
to documents (separate from the files) that would be replicated to all DC's.
I am curious if there is a way to do this other than using DFS.

Thanks for any info in advance....

Chris

Chris,
The only way to implement this plan using Windows Server components
would be to use DFS/FRS. Otherwise you're looking at third-party
apps.

Thx,

If you decide that a third-party option is in order, take a look at Veritas
Storage Replicator. I believe it will do what you want. In addition,
rather than replicating entire files (as does Win2k) it can replicate only
file differences.
