dfrgntfs.exe runs when system goes in standby

Everytime the system goes into standby the hard disk
activity spikes, if taskmanager is open before it goes
into standby I can bring it out and catch dfrgntfs.exe
running in the processes list, it then promptly closes
itself?. I have been through this thing with a fine tooth
comb and can't find anywhere this is scheduled. anyone?

It's part of the self tuning. If it's running then you are not in Standby (a specific low power mode). Maybe just your monitor turns off.
