" 'CD Recording Software' will casue windows to become unstable. Windows has
prevented these drivers from loading. Click here for more details."

Hi everyone, I'm getting the above popup notice in the system tray when I
log into any account. I did uninstall two versions of Easy CD Recorder but
the problem still persists. I don't know what else to do to get rid of this
popup. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks everyone.

Eric.

You have installed a version of Easy CD that is incompatible with XP.
See:

Ok, I tired that but it didn't work. Still getting the same message when I
log in to any account. Thank you for your help though. Is there something
else I can try? Where else could this problem be hiding? Thanks.

You did the registry work required? If you did, I'm surprised you are
still getting the error but try a System Restore to before you
installed the incompatible programs.

Ok I solved the problem. Here is the info and link that was helpful to me.
http://www.roxio.com/en/support/kb/ecdc/eez000089.jhtml . When I for
cdr4_w2k.sys it did not display so I did a wildcard search cd*.sys and the
file displayed was Cdr4_xp. I renamed to Cdr4_xp.old, rebooted and the
problem was solved. Malke thanks for taking the time out to assist me. It
was greatly appreciated.
